Fleeter Fund
Nancy Fleeter understood that the art of ballet encompasses more than just dance but also music and costume.
The Nancy Fleeter Memorial Costume Fund was established as a tribute to Nancy Fleeter and her passion for ballet. Ms. Fleeter had extraordinary experience in the management of arts organizations, serving as Chief Financial Officer of the American Ballet Theatre and controller of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Maryland Youth Ballet was fortunate to have Ms. Fleeter serve as the organization’s Chief Financial Officer from 2006 to 2008, the year of her death.

MYB’s national reputation is, in part, due to the high quality of its costume repertoire. These costumes are lovingly envisioned, created, and maintained by award-winning costume designer Judy Hansen. Maintaining MYB’s costumes is costly and time consuming. Each costume requires cleaning, maintenance, repair, and proper storage to retain its beauty. Portions of the costumes in the MYB costume repertoire are aging and will need to be replaced.
Your tax deductible contribution to the Nancy Fleeter Memorial Costume Fund will help MYB maintain its existing costumes and design and produce new costumes to enhance the dancers and the dance. Please help MYB preserve and improve one of its most important assets.
Your donation will continue to honor Nancy Fleeter and her passion for ballet.
